About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Halifax Health. As a key member of our Radiology - Nuclear Medicine Department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate medical images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitoring to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and provide follow-up care to patients.
  • Oversee patient scheduling and obtain and disseminate relevant medical information.
  • Demonstrate expertise in computer and equipment technology, including acquisition and processing, thyroid probe, dose calibrator, dosing computer, PACS, and HIS (Meditech).
  • Provide backup supervision and direction to radiology sections as needed.
  • Directly supervise students and complete competency and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain certification and stay up-to-date with State, National, and hospital regulations.
