The Housing Stability Division, part of Community and Neighborhoods, is focused on working directly with residents and the loan team. This role is ideal for individuals interested in finance, loans, or the housing sector.

About the Role:

The Housing Stability Division is looking for a dedicated apprentice to support our efforts in fostering robust and stable neighborhoods.

The Neighborhood Improvement & Stabilization team is in search of a committed apprentice to assist in managing loan programs aimed at homeownership and community development. The Apprentice will play a vital role in overseeing the loan portfolio, which includes homebuyer loans, rehabilitation loans, and grants. This position will provide direct interaction with residents and the loan team, offering valuable insights into housing finance while developing essential administrative skills for a career in housing or community development.

We are hiring one apprentice for the Neighborhood Improvement & Stabilization (NIS) team. The selected candidate will assist in learning the processes involved in managing loan functions, particularly for federally funded loans and low-income homeowners, as well as the eligibility criteria.

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and be at least 21 years of age.

Compensation:

$18.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Apprentice Qualifications:

A valid driver's license may be necessary.Physical strength and hand-eye coordination may be required.Strong time management, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills may be necessary.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.A growth mindset and a passion for learning.
