The Bowling Center Equipment Technician will play a crucial role in supporting the Mechanic Supervisor and General Manager. This position focuses on the maintenance and repair of bowling-related machinery, including pinsetters, automatic scoring systems, and other essential equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency. The Technician is tasked with upholding service, safety, and security protocols to meet the high standards established by Redhawk.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the upkeep of bowling center machinery under the guidance of the Mechanic Supervisor and General Manager.
- Ensure the proper functioning of pinsetters, automatic scoring systems, and lane maintenance tools.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting repairs and parts utilized.
- Adhere to the established preventive maintenance schedule.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.
- Implement Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures on all safety-sensitive equipment.
- Follow the safety protocols and operational standards for the machine area.
- Prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing safety-sensitive machinery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and safety practices, including OSHA regulations.
- Safeguard company assets effectively.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Conduct initial inspections and repairs on karts and track equipment.
- Monitor kart performance throughout operational hours.
- Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the track and facility.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, inventory, and special projects.
- Ensure proper maintenance of tools and machinery.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations as they arise.
- Keep the pit, kart shop, and track areas clean and safe.
- Assist track operations as needed.
- Perform specific cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by management.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills by collecting data and drawing valid conclusions.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience with Brunswick GSX Pinsetters is preferred but not mandatory.
- Interest or knowledge in bowling and mechanical operations is advantageous.
- Ability to maintain professional and effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Capable of preparing reports and correspondence as needed.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions relevant to the role.
- Understanding and adherence to safety standards at all times.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
- Work environment includes exposure to high noise levels, dust, and physical activity.
- Manual dexterity is required to operate necessary equipment.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, lifting, climbing, and handling weights up to 50 lbs.
