Marshall Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of laboratory patients, specimens, and information. This will involve performing chemical, microbiological, and hematological tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Medical Laboratory Technician will also be responsible for recording laboratory test data, patient and quality control information, and participating in quality control procedures, review, and corrective action. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining care of expensive laboratory equipment and instruments, as well as the judicious use of materials. The ideal candidate will have a current Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) License and previous laboratory experience. They will also possess knowledge of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and have the ability to work well with other people in times of medical emergencies and in a fast-paced, heavy workload environment. The Medical Laboratory Technician will be required to have color discrimination, near-visual acuity, finger and manual dexterity, and form perception to perform their duties.
