We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to provide expert legal services and advice to our Pulp & Tissue Business Unit personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal guidance on procurement and sales matters, including contract drafting, negotiation, and revision.
  • Manage commercial litigation matters in the United States for the Unit, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement commercial and bankruptcy strategies related to the Unit.
  • Provide legal support on group-wide projects, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Offer expert advice on compliance and policy matters, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage trademarks for both the Unit and group-wide, protecting the company's intellectual property.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited law school and admitted to a state bar.
  • 5-10 years of experience in related areas, with a strong track record of success.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a physical presence based out of our office.
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant junior associate experience with a law firm, with knowledge of trademarks/IP and prior in-house experience in or related to the pulp and paper industry.
