Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences, and develop customized event plans to meet their needs.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train a team of banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and cooks, to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional service and meet the needs of our guests.
  • Food and Beverage Management: Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring that all aspects of the event are executed to perfection.
  • Logistics and Operations: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all logistical aspects of the event are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all aspects of the event meet our high standards.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a banquet or event planning role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, event planning, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and vendors. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
