Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Jubilee Association of Maryland.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in and enrich their community. You will assist individuals in achieving their personal, family, social, and spiritual goals, promoting their independence and self-determination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to individuals in their homes and communities, following their person-centered plans.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
  • Encourage participation in social and community activities, developing relationships and communication skills.
  • Monitor and provide support during awake overnight shifts, completing household upkeep tasks and remaining awake during the entire shift.
  • Document services, medication administration, progress on goals, medical visits, incidents, and behavior according to Jubilee's policies.
  • Maintain regular, open, and positive communication with supervisors, colleagues, and family members of the individuals you support.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience as a direct support professional is a plus, but not required
  • Commitment to Jubilee's core values of respect and human dignity, self-determination, community, justice, ethical practices, and spiritual care
  • Computer skills for using email and online data systems
  • Current U.S. driver's license
