The HR Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This position collaborates with internal teams and external partners to establish systems, processes, and programs that empower individuals to thrive. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Enhancing Employee Engagement: Interacting with employees and management during pivotal moments in the employment journey, including Development, Accommodations, Workplace Safety, and Performance Management.
- Promoting Compliance: Educating staff on employment fundamentals, company policies, and applicable labor laws through coaching, presentations, and training sessions.
- Conducting Investigations: Performing prompt, impartial, and comprehensive internal inquiries related to issues such as harassment, discrimination, accommodations, and retaliation, while preparing all necessary documentation.
- Advocating for Employees: Proactively implementing and maintaining relevant business solutions, tools, and resources to positively influence the employee experience.
- Innovating HR Practices: Suggesting creative strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
- Supporting Strategic Initiatives: Assisting with various projects and initiatives within the HR department.
- Additional Responsibilities: Performing other related tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 2-3 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
- Proficiency in Human Resource/Payroll Systems and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Familiarity with US employment regulations, including FMLA/ADA, EEOC, and FLSA.
