The Audio-Visual Systems Engineer role is a dynamic, field-oriented position that focuses on the commissioning of systems and providing client training on system operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibits advanced understanding of AV installation methodologies
  • Possesses working knowledge of fundamental AV designs
  • Conducts site assessments for AV engineers
  • Ensures intricate AV installations comply with AVIXA standards
  • Verifies accuracy of drawing revisions
  • Constructs AV equipment racks in collaboration with stage and configuration specialists
  • Commission complex AV systems following installation
  • Balances audio systems effectively
  • Configures AV devices on-site
  • Collaborates with programmers for necessary adjustments
  • Sets up wireless microphone systems
  • Implements design modifications in the field to guarantee system functionality
  • Acts as an extension of project engineering on-site
  • Oversees multiple field resources during the installation of complex AV systems
  • Collects and documents final system details (IP addresses, settings, etc.)
  • Educates clients on the operation of AV systems
  • Provides level 2 AV helpdesk assistance
  • Utilizes advanced troubleshooting tools and techniques to rectify AV system errors

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred college education or degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • CTS certification required within three months of hire
  • CTS-I certification highly recommended
  • Minimum of three years of experience in installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning audio-visual equipment
  • Certifications in industry-relevant technologies such as Crestron, Biamp, and Extron

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually.
