Key Responsibilities
  • Decontamination and Sterilization: Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment to ensure they are safe for use in patient care.
  • Instrument Assembly and Wrapping: Assemble and wrap trays of instruments and medical equipment for sterilization and distribution.
  • Inventory Management: Restock, label, and maintain inventory levels of instruments, trays, and medical equipment.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Perform environmental maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Quality Control: Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to sterile processing customers by ensuring timely delivery of processed instruments and equipment.
Requirements
  • Certification: Current certification in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Experience: Evidence of minimum one year of current hospital experience.
