SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Accountable for operating various heavy-duty vehicles, tractors, and construction machinery on a consistent basis; conducts checks for any malfunctions of the equipment during operation; primarily operates street sweepers, bulldozers, front-end loaders, asphalt paving machines, asphalt rollers, twin axle trucks, backhoes, tractors, forklifts, skid steer loaders, and motor graders.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Prepares surfaces in parking lots for asphalt application by leveling dirt.
2. Distributes earth to achieve desired elevations.
3. Cuts, swells, and ditches for effective drainage as required.
4. Utilizes machinery to excavate ditches for renovations.
5. Digs and/or loads dirt, sand, gravel, etc., onto trucks or other equipment.
6. Employs equipment to excavate and grade for site enhancements.
7. Uses machinery to clear land of trees and rocks.
8. Operates forklifts to transport materials, equipment, and furniture.
9. Services machinery with fuel, oil, and water as necessary.
10. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED equivalency is the minimum requirement. Candidates should possess four (4) years of relevant experience and hold a valid state Commercial Driver's License (CDL). A full Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or National Institute for Automotive Service certification is preferred.

Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor's Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.
