Project Engineer - Electrical Safety

RCG Moody International Limited, in collaboration with Intertek, a leading provider of quality assurance and safety solutions, is seeking a Project Engineer to enhance our Electrical team.

About the Electrical Team

The Electrical team at RCG Moody International Limited provides comprehensive assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services for a diverse range of electrical products. Our experts ensure the quality, safety, and sustainability of products utilized globally, including appliances, consumer electronics, medical devices, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and apply national codes and standards relevant to the equipment under test (EUT).
  • Conduct testing in accordance with established standards, including core tests such as dielectric strength, leakage current, and flammability.
  • Guide and mentor junior technical staff.
  • Provide detailed project information for quotations, including project duration and necessary resources.
  • Set up and utilize standard testing equipment, ensuring accurate calibration and operation.
  • Adhere to sample handling protocols, ensuring proper logging and packaging for shipment.
  • Support sales initiatives by participating in client interactions.
  • Communicate project updates and testing outcomes to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Customer-focused and quality-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Familiarity with international product safety standards such as ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC.
