Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$28-$35/hr based on experience

*This role is a 6-month contract with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position upon successful completion.*

Typical responsibilities of a Payroll Operations Specialist include:

• Reviewing daily entries for hourly and salaried non-exempt staff to ensure adherence to company policies and labor regulations

• Addressing discrepancies with managers and employees, resolving timekeeping system issues, and generating time reports for payroll processing

• Executing bi-weekly and weekly payrolls, including the entry of new hires, changes, terminations, and bonuses into payroll systems

• Updating direct deposit details, W4 forms, and state elections as requested by employees

• Ensuring payroll modifications and time submissions are completed by deadlines and verifying payroll accuracy

• Responding to inquiries from employees and HR Business Partners regarding payroll through designated support channels

This position may be a great match if you possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Business, along with a minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, including 2 years of multi-state payroll

• At least 2 years of experience utilizing ADP and Workday HRIS systems for multi-state payroll

• Alternatively, 7 years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll, with proficiency in ADP and Workday HRIS systems

• Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent problem-solving, follow-up, and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• FPC or CPP Certification

• Experience with child support, garnishments, tax payments, and various employee classifications (e.g., W4, 1099)
