Position: Telecommunications Technician at Arizona Department of Public Safety

This recruitment aims to create an eligibility list for current and future openings in the Telecommunications Technician position. This role is essential within the Telecommunications Technician series, available to new candidates who fulfill the qualifications or through advancement from the Trainee position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain a variety of electronic communication systems
  • Engage with systems such as VHF, UHF, microwave point-to-point, and technical investigative apparatus
  • Travel across the state, occasionally under challenging conditions, and work during irregular hours
  • Conduct system-level troubleshooting and repairs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a formal program in electronics technology
  • Two years of pertinent work experience within the last decade
  • Valid driver's license for Arizona
  • Technical certifications, including FCC General Radiophonic Operator's License
