About the Role

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients by processing various account transactions, offering banking products and services, and maintaining a secure and accurate cash handling environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, and check cashing.
  • Balance cash drawers and client service specialist transactions.
  • Learn and apply knowledge of new and existing banking products and services.
  • Identify and offer appropriate banking products and services to meet customer financial needs.
  • Secure against loss by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawers and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
  • Identify and report fraudulent activity.
  • Perform and support daily tasks that maintain the integrity of the branch, including balancing ATMs, processing night deposits, and monitoring lobby rate sheets and brochures.
  • Support referral goals for the branch by identifying and referring basic banking products to the appropriate business partner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Some experience in customer service preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cash handling environment.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass client service specialist training programs.
Work Environment

This role is fully onsite and requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Benefits

Umpqua Bank offers a competitive total rewards package, including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
