Mutual of Omaha's comprehensive trainee program offers a rewarding career in financial services. As a Financial Representative Trainee, you will develop the skills and expertise necessary to provide holistic financial advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a structured program to develop your skills in financial services, including sales, marketing, and customer relationship management.
  • Contribute to classroom discussions, goal-setting sessions, and progress evaluation meetings to ensure your growth and success.
  • Demonstrate your skills and pass a sales process competency test to validate your expertise.
  • Gain direct sales experience in marketing Individual Insurance products to clients and cultivate strong relationships with internal business partners.
  • Oversee the completion of content, proposals, and paperwork flow throughout the field and Home Office to ensure a seamless application and underwriting process.

  • A competitive hourly wage of $16/hour for up to 30 days, with opportunities for advancement and promotion.

  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year and 11 paid holidays in 2024.

Requirements:
  • Ability to successfully achieve the criteria of the Trainee Program.
  • Must pass and apply for appropriate insurance licenses within 14 days of entry into the job, with a maximum of 2 attempts at the Life and Health exam.
  • Must pass the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, as the training program criteria require Financial Representatives to obtain securities licensing within 24 months of entry into the program.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Access to reliable transportation for appointments and meetings, with the ability to travel up to 50% of the work period and maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
