Job Summary:
Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician II to provide technical support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance support to the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT), Mobile CCTT, Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS), and/or Reconfigurable Vehicle Tactical Trainer (RVTT).
- Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices, including electronic transmitting and receiving equipment.
- Apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions and repair equipment to its normal operation.
- Restore equipment operation, evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as necessary.
- Perform electrical/mechanical adjustments, remove and replace failed components, and make repairs on equipment.
- Document all maintenance actions by inputting data in MIS.
- May be required to support other devices and will be cross-trained, as needed.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, and rain) and at height.
- Must be willing to work a flexible workweek.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain post driving privileges.
- Must be able to pass a Pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
- This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred: 2-year Associate Degree in electronics or related technical field (BS Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience; Minimum 4 years of experience with electrical systems and/or repair of electronic components.
- May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience).
