Job Title: Head of Department - Physical Education

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Department - Physical Education to join our team at Eastern Hills Senior High School.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Physical Education department, providing high-quality leadership and management to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive and engaging curriculum. The Head of Department will work closely with teachers, staff, and students to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Physical Education department, providing strategic direction and guidance to teachers and staff.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with school and departmental goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum.
  • Manage resources, including budgeting and staff allocation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in leading a department or team in a similar context.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, staff, and students.
  • Highly developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on student outcomes and school improvement.
