Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market prices and supplier costs to estimate expenses.
  • Assist in the negotiation and execution of technical adjustments.
  • Oversee event ordering processes, including RFQs, negotiations, purchasing, and delivery follow-ups.
  • Source products both domestically and internationally to support various brands.
  • Facilitate purchasing activities for new product introductions.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and manage direct material expenses for products.
  • Update pricing information in pricing lists and MRP systems.
  • Support project management for multiple concurrent new product development initiatives.
  • Ensure product launches align with quality, cost, and timing objectives.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for their commitments and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Identify innovative and cost-effective materials, components, services, and methods for existing and new projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation for approved suppliers is maintained.
  • Apply insights to Local Procurement Technical Assessments and organize meetings as required.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience in negotiation, sourcing, bidding, contracting, supplier performance management, and risk management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards Enterprise One) is preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in 6S/5S methodologies is advantageous.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
