Job Summary

The Athletic Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all functions related to the procurement, storage, distribution, fitting, and maintenance of athletic gear and uniforms for the university's football program.

Required Qualifications
  • Current enrollment as a student at the University of West Georgia, with a minimum of six credit hours and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
  • Strong understanding of sports equipment and apparel used in football.
  • Experience in adjusting and repairing sports gear, maintaining inventory records, and applying inventory management practices.
  • Ability to lift athletic equipment weighing up to 50 pounds may be required for some positions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of sports equipment and apparel for at least two major sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, gymnastics, or track and field.
  • Familiarity with supervisory practices is advantageous.

Physical Requirements

Physical demands may include lifting up to approximately 25 pounds, close vision requirements, and the ability to communicate effectively through speaking and listening. Frequent physical activity such as lifting, carrying, standing, and walking is expected, along with occasional sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or climbing.
