Description: Fort Norfolk Retirement Community, Inc. is a distinguished 5-star, resort-style Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for our residents.

Our facility features a variety of living arrangements, including Independent Living Residential Units, Skilled Nursing Healthcare Units, Assisted Living Units, and Memory Support Units.

We are currently seeking dedicated full-time and part-time Housekeepers to uphold our commitment to excellence in service for both residents and staff.

The ideal candidates will possess experience in senior living environments (such as long-term care, assisted living, or memory support) and demonstrate a genuine passion for serving the elderly population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all housekeeping protocols and procedures in line with established health, infection control, universal precautions, sanitation, and facility appearance standards.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation duties across private residences, healthcare units, and communal areas, including dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal, prioritizing tasks as directed by management.
  • Manage inventory and supplies responsibly, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting, meeting or exceeding high-quality care and service standards.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
  • Strong desire to work in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, exemplifying Service Excellence.
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination is required to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff.
  • Physical ability to assist elderly individuals, including lifting a minimum of 50 lbs., and performing various physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and maintaining balance.
