Operations Administrative Assistant

Key Role in a Dynamic Team

Havertys Furniture Companies, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Administrative Assistant to provide critical support to our senior leadership team. As a key player in our dynamic team environment, you will be responsible for administering operations programs, providing administrative support, and offering operational and customer service guidance to the retail division.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer operations programs, including retail recognition, corporate relocation, employee purchase, expense reports, corporate communications, and travel planning.
  • Provide general administrative duties, including distribution of mail, typing, light dictation, copying, faxing, filing, and answering the phone.
  • Process invoices and triage customer complaints.
  • Prepare meeting presentations and plan/executing various meetings throughout the year.
  • Handle various monthly, quarterly, and yearly projects, including house plan reports, profit center classification reports, productivity index reports, profit center objectives reports, net sales & pre-tax profit reports, sales correspondence and awards, store traffic, and staffing analysis.
  • Answer corporate phone calls and receive home office visitors.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and intermediate knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables and charts).
  • Four-year college degree and a minimum of one year of administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and recognize and respect confidential information.
