Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, EPC Programs to join our team at 101 Bloom Energy. This role will be responsible for leading our EPC programs and ensuring the successful delivery of our energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select EPCs that meet our current and future needs.
  • Provide ongoing negotiation of costs, operational performance, and terms & conditions with our EPCs.
  • Implement robust cost reduction tracking methodologies and design/construct/product feedback to continuously improve our installations cost and quality.
  • Develop partnership relations with EPCs and pursue new business opportunities for Bloom Energy.
  • Provide strong management of the CIG supply base to ensure that business needs for schedule, costs, flexibility, and technology needs are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure compliance by establishing and clearly communicating the design, safety, and quality requirements to EPC suppliers.
  • Ensure that CIG installation timelines are supported with capacity and timely acceptances.
  • Evaluate and drive with the CIG leadership team further actions as appropriate where there is competitive advantage for Bloom Energy.
  • Lead the EPC program to drive efficiencies and migrate the team from lower value activities to higher value-added activities such as new program technologies for installations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, engineering background required.
  • 15+ years in a senior procurement role preferably in heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing EPCs in the energy sector.
  • Technical skills to enable identification and qualification of multiple EPCs.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and coordinate international construction activities.
  • In-depth negotiation experience and the ability to meet cost targets is required.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills are key.
  • Must have the ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships across the company and with suppliers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Ability to excel in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated with high energy level and a strong work ethic.
  • Organizational leadership skills; aggressiveness in achieving results, yet sensitivity to the need for communicating effectively with other members of the team.
