Job Title: Legal Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Operations Coordinator to join our team at Resolution Technologies.

Job Summary:

The Legal Operations Coordinator will provide exceptional support to our legal department, assisting with regulatory compliance, risk management, vendor management, contract reviews, and corporate paralegal support. This role will work closely with the Chief Risk Officer & General Counsel to ensure the safe, legal, compliant, and prudent operation of our credit union.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support with reviewing, editing, drafting, and proofreading of legal documents, including commercial contracts and correspondence.
  2. Assist in the development or improvement of templates, department-wide business processes, and policies and procedures.
  3. Act as an administrator for and work within the vendor contract repository, performing reviews to identify areas of legal risk and operational concerns.
  4. Ensure all vendors adhere to the full onboarding process and requirements, performing necessary follow-ups and escalations to ensure timely execution.
  5. Organize the development of the vendor management process, consistently offering improvements that increase vendor compliance and continuity.
  6. Maintain matters organized by triaging priorities, monitoring and updating status, documenting actions, tracking deadlines, maintaining logs, and preparing reports.
  7. Exercise independent problem-solving techniques to resolve administrative problems, proactively following up on pending matters, and working well as a team player with key business units through transparent and frequent communication.
  8. Coordinate and prepare meetings with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  9. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all matters.
  10. Work collaboratively with other departments and outside counsel.
  11. Respond to requests from internal and external parties.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • A Paralegal certificate from an accredited program (J.D. degree also accepted).
  • 5-7 years of experience working with attorneys as a paralegal in a corporate legal department.
  • 5+ years of experience providing direct support to boards of directors and executive management.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements or contracts under attorney supervision (strongly preferred).
  • Familiarity with credit unions and financial institutions (preferred).
  • Experience using administrative and legal technology, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new programs.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Internet, and Email.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work autonomously on a wide variety of assignments and projects.
  • A strong drive for excellence, attention to detail, an ability to adapt to change, and a can-do positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, use judgment, and discretion.
  • Proactive and flexible, with the ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities and demands.
