Position Summary:
MST (Multisystemic Therapy) represents a comprehensive family and community-oriented approach aimed at addressing the various factors contributing to severe antisocial behavior among juvenile offenders.
This therapeutic model tackles the numerous elements associated with delinquency across critical environments or systems in which youth are involved, such as family, peers, educational institutions, and neighborhoods.
MST emphasizes fostering behavioral change within the youth's natural surroundings, leveraging the strengths of each system to encourage transformation.
This model aligns seamlessly with the mission of The Children's Village, emphasizing community-based services and family reunification, while reflecting the core values of the organization.
The MST framework advocates for personal accountability, educational attainment, work ethic, community involvement, and a firm stance against violence and discrimination.
Qualifications:
PhD or a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of three years of direct clinical experience working with adolescents or family systems, which must include at least one year of supervisory experience.
Alternatively, two years of experience as an MST practitioner may be considered in lieu of supervisory experience. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $78,000, with an additional $1,500 for bilingual proficiency.
