Public Sector Sales Representative

At Staples, Inc., we're seeking a highly driven Field Sales Executive to join our team in the Public Sector. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for driving growth and conversion in our public sector market, focusing on the Dallas, TX territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a territory penetration strategy to drive sales growth in the public sector market.
  • Qualify prospects and route opportunities to fellow sales team members based on sales qualifiers.
  • Schedule appointments and meet with prospective customers to present Quill values and solutions.
  • Utilize marketing collateral to build engaging presentations and drive prospect engagement and conversion.
  • Attend conferences, tradeshows, and events to represent Quill and win new customers.
  • Create and present custom pricing solutions to potential high-growth commercial customers.
  • Leverage education contracts, including Cooperative Purchasing partnerships and Bids, to acquire new education customers or drive growth for existing customers.
  • Ensure smooth transition to the account management team upon customer commitment.
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly quotas and key metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM at all times.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of field sales experience.
  • Required travel within territory based on appointments, customer needs, and conferences, approximately 50% travel.
  • Remote Role: Must be able to cover a territory of Dallas, Texas.
