Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Specialist to join our team at TradesMax Staffing Knoxville, TN.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing maintenance and construction duties in various craft skills, including fabrication, welding, pipefitting, mechanical, and millwrighting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems, and assist in planning repair or installation work.
  • Fabricate and install screwed, flanged, socket, and welded piping.
  • Install tubing, instrumentation, control valves, regulators, and other apparatus.
  • Perform qualified welding procedures on mild steel, stainless steels, alloy steels, and other special metals.
  • Install and set up pumps, fans, reducers, agitators, tanks, compressors, blowers, and other major plant equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on all mechanical equipment, including major overhauls, component alignments, adjustments, etc.
  • Operate shop equipment such as lathes, mills, saws, and drills to repair, manufacture, or replace equipment and components.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair air systems.
  • Inspect for leaks and other malfunctions, and take corrective action on any deficiencies.
  • Operate various equipment, machine tools, portable power, and hand tools consistent with skill level and job assignment.

Work conditions include working from elevated platforms, ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and a variety of other surfaces.
