Job Overview

At Microbest Inc, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves both office-based engineering tasks and hands-on work on the production floor. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC programming and machining processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in existing manufacturing processes that may lead to subpar or non-compliant products.
  • Process Development: Collaborate in designing efficient manufacturing processes to optimize production.
  • CNC Programming: Create and modify CNC programs using both manual and CAM software approaches.
  • Inspection Methods: Assist in developing effective inspection techniques and tools for new and revised manufacturing components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing evaluations of current processes, applying Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across various levels to foster improvements and resolve operational challenges.
  • Multi-step Process Design: Support the design of complex manufacturing workflows that meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • CAM Software Proficiency: Utilize SolidWorks and SURFCAM software effectively in daily tasks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machining environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience with CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and drive them to completion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with Okuma and Fanuc CNC controls is advantageous.
Working Conditions
  • This position involves time spent on a manufacturing floor and in an office environment.
  • Physical activities include standing, walking, and lifting items up to 35 pounds.
