Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven professional to join our Applications and Product Development team at Drew Marine. As a key member of our technology group, you will work alongside research chemists and laboratory technicians to provide laboratory support on department projects and collaborate with technical services, operations, sales, and product management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Laboratory Operations: Assist laboratory staff with sample preparation, conduct routine application tests to evaluate product performance, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Conduct Analytical Analysis: Perform analytical analysis using test kits and instrumentation such as spectrophotometers, titrators, and other relevant equipment.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with members of product management, technical service, and operations teams to interpret test results and develop new products.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally friendly workplace, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations in the laboratory.
Requirements:
  • Education: B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related Science.
  • Experience: 2+ years of industrial lab experience preferred, with knowledge of basic wet chemistry techniques and safe chemical handling procedures.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a laboratory environment around chemicals and testing equipment, with some lifting required for sample and material handling.
