About the Role

Columbia-Greene Community College is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Registrar to join our team in the Office of Records and Registration. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our records and registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputy Registrar
    • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Office of Records and Registration, including supervising staff and managing the registration window.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
  • DegreeWorks Administrator
    • Oversee the College's DegreeWorks platform, ensuring its functionality, maintenance, and ongoing development to improve the student experience.
    • Collaborate with IT and Academic Advisement to maintain the accuracy and functionality of degree audits.
  • Liaison and Coordinator
    • Act as the primary point person for non-matriculated students, assisting them with curricular and non-curricular needs.
    • Supervise the transfer credit evaluation process and maintain course equivalency catalogs between CGCC and other colleges and universities.
  • Records Management
    • Maintain and preserve student academic records in accordance with college policy and FERPA.
    • Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of student records, adhering to all relevant federal and state regulations.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Assist with end-of-semester processing and coordinate associated communications to faculty, staff, and students.
    • Coordinate review of degree applications, awarding of degrees, and distribution of diplomas.
    • Support the planning and day-of responsibilities for annual Commencement programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or three to five years of experience in Records and Registration environment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to process data accurately.
  • Ability to learn and process information quickly, accurately, and reliably.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Proficient understanding of all Federal and State regulations related to records management.
  • Proficiency working with relevant technologies, software, and systems (e.g. Banner, OnBase, DegreeWorks, National Student Clearinghouse).
