Diesel Technician/Mechanic II

As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic II at Penske Truck Leasing, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and reliability of our fleet. With your expertise, you will perform routine maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and repair vehicles to ensure they are safe for our customers.

Main Responsibilities- Maintain and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other components to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Detect and diagnose complex issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques
- Repair and replace faulty components, ensuring all work meets or exceeds manufacturer specifications
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and share knowledge and best practices
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair
- Specialized training in diesel engine diagnosis and repair, as well as experience with advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
