Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Fleet Services Leader. With a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet services.

As a Fleet Services Leader, you will be responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light and advanced repairs, advanced mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, and other duties as assigned. You will heavily rely on your expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues, making sound judgments to resolve problems efficiently.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $35-$50+, depending on experience and location. Additionally, you will receive safe driving and tech efficiency bonuses, safety boots and glasses reimbursement, extreme weather gear, uniforms with laundry service, and take home a service truck daily (no gas expenses). A laptop and company cellphone will also be provided, along with technical training to advance your career and a dedicated career path with opportunities for promotion from within.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field or any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience; or 7 years' experience in a related field. A valid driver's license is required, as well as a valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment. The candidate must also possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties, obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months, and meet the age requirement of at least 21 years old. ASE 608/609 certification is also required within 18 months, while preferred certifications include ASE T2 (Diesel Engines), ASE T3 (Drivetrain), ASE T4 (Brakes), ASE T5 (Suspension), ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems), ASE T7 (HVAC), ASE A8 (Engine Performance), ASE L1 (Advanced Engine Performance Specialist), and ASE L2 (Electronic Diesel Engine Diagnosis Specialist).
