We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. in St Louis, MO. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of diesel equipment.

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, with a valid Class-A CDL license. A background in administering preventative maintenance programs is also essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and other heavy duty equipment. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with internal teams and external vendors.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $22-$38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The expected base rate for this role is between $22 and $38 per hour, based on the location and industry standards. The estimated annual salary for this role is between $45,760 and $78,720.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
  • Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations.
