Position Title: Training Manager

Department: Training Division

Reports To: Lead Training Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt

Objective:

The Training Manager is tasked with the organization and execution of a thorough training program for the agency's workforce. This role also entails overseeing the necessary training standards to ensure staff possess the knowledge and support needed to fulfill their job responsibilities effectively. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, a commitment to mentoring, and a genuine passion for fostering employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate comprehensive orientation sessions for newly hired staff.
  2. Track and document training requirements for all employees, organizing and scheduling necessary training sessions.
  3. Facilitate NCI, CPR, and BDDS training sessions according to the established timetable.
  4. Develop and implement ongoing professional development opportunities for agency personnel.
  5. Provide leadership and mentorship to cultivate a workplace environment that embodies the company's values.
  6. Maintain regular communication and provide feedback to supervisors throughout the orientation process.
  7. Exemplify and promote the organization's behavioral expectations, culture, and mission.
  8. Respond effectively to emergency health and safety situations.
  9. Uphold confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
  10. Adhere to all DSI policies and procedures, including those related to Human Resources and mandatory training.
  11. Encourage health and safety practices in all agency operations.
  12. Engage in meetings, professional development activities, and special projects as required.
  13. Analyze reports and address issues to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, and compliance with standards and regulations.
  14. Demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all interactions.
  15. Foster a culture of quality in programming for facilities and client homes.
  16. Oversee and audit compliance training requirements.
  17. Respond promptly to emails, reports, and audits as necessary.
  18. Assist in the creation, revision, and monitoring of operational practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
  19. Maintain systems for tracking and recording essential information.
  20. Ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements and provide training as needed.
  21. Participate in marketing and public relations initiatives as assigned.
  22. Oversee the compliance training tab in Provide, ensuring accurate data entry.
  23. Fulfill essential duties as required for the position.
  24. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  25. Potentially supervise additional training staff as designated.
  26. Oversee retraining efforts for current staff.
  27. Manage the CS Train tab in Provide to ensure accurate training information is maintained.

Essential Skills:

  1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to perform budgeting calculations and comparisons.
  3. Strong critical thinking abilities.
  4. Willingness to complete additional duties as assigned.
  5. Adherence to ethical standards set by DSI, FSSA, and other governing bodies.
  6. Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
  7. Proficiency in operating office equipment and familiarity with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; two years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  2. Maintain all agency certification requirements, including CPR.
  3. Exhibit excellent communication skills and uphold confidentiality with sensitive information.
  4. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain insurability as defined by agency policies.
