About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team. This role will be responsible for operating radiological equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by physicians and performing routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrates knowledge of all general radiology exams protocols for specific exams.
- Demonstrates knowledge of exam preparations and patient instructions.
- Utilizes radiation protection methods consistently and uses shielding as necessary.
- Assesses patient lab values for contrast usage.
- Obtains patient history and collaborates with Radiologist on proper contrast usage.
- Uses PACS and digital readers to process procedures.
- Obtains and examines the procedure request for all necessary information for completion.
- FOLLOWs proper guidelines for image identification with film markers.
- Completes all procedures during the shift without interference to quality of work.
- Responds to changes in the work schedule as necessary and show flexibility in job performance.
- BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT MUST BE OBTAINED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT START DATE.
- CERTIFIED MEDICAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST.
- REGISTERED RADIOGRAPHER (ARRT).
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology.
- CERTIFIED IN BLS FROM AHA OR ARC.
- Ability to read and follow verbal and/or written instructions or procedures.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all types of personnel and medical staff members.
- Hospital experience (preferred).
As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
