Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute educational programs by designing classroom activities that align with developmentally suitable practices and early learning benchmarks.
· Serve as a role model; promote team success through demonstration and mentorship.
· Organize individualized and group activities that are age-appropriate to actively involve children and support their social, cognitive, and emotional development.
· Maintain regular communication with parents through informal conversations, progress updates, and parent-teacher meetings.
· Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
· Uphold a healthy classroom environment by adhering to hygiene and cleanliness standards, as well as ensuring the safety and security of children.
· Oversee teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to guarantee adherence to planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
· Keep accurate records, forms, and documentation.
· Develop a personal professional growth plan to ensure ongoing quality enhancement.
Qualifications
- Must possess a CDA or an Associate's degree.
- High energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a team-oriented environment.
- A solid understanding of child development principles.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and health screening.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Capability to get up and down from the floor with ease.
· At least 1 year of professional experience in childcare is preferred.
