RN - Clinical Supervisor - WCMC Surgical Care - Full Time - 12 Hour - Nights

John Muir Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nursing Supervisor to join our team in Surgical Care. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for collaborating with departmental staff to develop and implement effective nursing practices, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Collaboration: Participate in daily departmental planning, decision-making, and staff development to achieve nursing excellence.
- Clinical Expertise: Interpret and translate the care model into daily nursing practice, utilizing information systems and resources to achieve quality outcomes.
- Staff Advocacy: Advocate for staff and facilitate processes to promote a positive work environment and support staff growth and development.
- Patient Care: Ensure effective, safe, and quality care for patients on the unit, promoting shared decision-making and collaboration with the unit council.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience in medical acute care nursing; 1 year of experience as a charge nurse or team leader; 1 year of experience in specialty care; 1 year of progressive leadership experience preferred.
- Certifications/Licensures: RN Registered Nursing licensure in California; BLS Basic Life Support certification; Specialty certifications from ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center required within 2 years of hire.
- For WCMC Oncology Medical Acute Care Only: CoC Standard 4.2 - Oncology Nursing Credential; 12 Oncology-specific CEUs per year for a total of 36 CEUs throughout a 3-year accreditation cycle.
- For WCMC Adult ICU Only: ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification; Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test; NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification; Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification; CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification program.
- For WCMC PCU/NSD Only: ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification; Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test; NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification; CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Full-time position with a 12-hour night shift schedule.
Pay Range:$113.47 per hour.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:36 hours per week.
