Job Summary:
John Muir Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Surgical Acute Care Specialist. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to a diverse population of surgical patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and relevant patient care models to create a compassionate healing environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams, promoting a culture of transparency and respect.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices, maintaining a high level of expertise in surgical acute care and related specialties.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current California RN license.
- At least 6 months of experience in medical acute care, with a strong focus on surgical patient care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a scheduled weekly hours of 36. The work shift is from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with no waiver. The pay range is $101.72 per hour, with offer amounts based on demonstrated experience and/or licensure.
