Position Overview

CPP is currently in search of a Senior Financial Consultant to enhance our Accounting and Finance Team. This role reports directly to the Site Controller at our facility. The position is pivotal within the financial operations of the organization and offers growth potential, preparing the individual for an assistant controllership role within five years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the site controller to address various requests from local operations and corporate finance teams, including ad hoc analyses and special reporting.
  • Assist the financial accounting shared services team during the month-end closing process.
  • Prepare and maintain the site's weekly cash forecasts, including receipts and disbursements.
  • Oversee the accounts receivable aging and lead weekly meetings with customer service and financial teams to coordinate collections.
  • Conduct daily and weekly reconciliations, such as sales and cash, and review month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Participate in organizing the annual physical inventory and other cycle count programs.
  • Support the annual standard cost update, including new product costings, ensuring accurate inventory valuation.
  • Assist in managing the annual external audit, including preparation of audit materials and coordination with external auditors.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's financial and accounting policies.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; operational experience is advantageous.
  • 3-4 years of direct experience in accounting practices within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, with a solid understanding of cost accounting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP, FASB standards, and internal control processes.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic financial plans and analyzing key performance indicators.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools and experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP experience preferred).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to provide sound financial advice in rapidly changing circumstances.
