Lowboy Driver

Ruston Paving Co, Inc. is seeking a skilled Lowboy Driver to join our team. As a Lowboy Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites.

• Perform daily truck equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance with FMCSA guidelines
• Complete written daily inspection reports and submit requests for maintenance as needed
• Maintain truck logs and time recordings in accordance with state, federal, and company policies
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment for transport
• Operate trucks safely to and from project destinations
• Maintain contact with dispatch centers for instructions
• Properly tie down loads for transit using straps, chains, and binders
• Regularly maintain cargo areas to be free of debris and ensure cleanliness of trucks and trailers
• Perform post-trip vehicle inspections and note any defects or deficiencies in writing
• Perform all safety procedures required by governmental agencies and those established by Ruston Paving

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or CDL A Restricted)
• USDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience transporting heavy construction equipment and/or materials for paving and/or site excavation
