Lowboy Driver

Ruston Paving Co, Inc. is seeking a skilled Lowboy Driver to join our team. As a Lowboy Driver, you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and materials to and from job sites.

• Perform daily truck equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance with FMCSA guidelines.
• Complete written daily inspection reports and submit requests for maintenance as needed.
• Maintain truck logs and time recordings in accordance with state, federal, and company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment for transport.
• Operate trucks safely to and from project destinations.
• Maintain contact with dispatch centers for instructions.
• Pull levers or turn cranks to connect and disconnect trailers from tractors.
• Move hand and foot controls for truck movement forward and backward.
• Properly tie down loads for transit using straps, chains, and binders.
• Inspect loads for loose debris prior to transport.
• Properly chock wheels when leaving the truck.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or CDL A Restricted).
• USDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience transporting heavy construction equipment and/or materials for paving and/or site excavation.
