We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Rogers Behavioral Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive social services and therapeutic treatment to patients and their families in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services to patients and their families, including cognitive behavioral therapies and social services.
- Provide individual, group, family, and significant other therapeutic treatment services, as well as crisis intervention services as needed.
- Assess patient safety daily and interact with patients, family members, significant others, and referents with respect and dignity.
- Participate in psychoeducational support sessions and provide case management and therapeutic interventions to assigned patients.
- Serve as patient advocate, adhering to System policy and procedure, and manage patient/family expectations related to services provided.
- Initiate and maintain contact with referring providers, schools, and care teams, and implement goals and interventions as specified on the Care Plan.
- Ensure goals are SMART, patient-specific, and individualized according to patient diagnoses, and document progress according to the treatment plan.
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field from an accredited school.
- Full, independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent in the state practicing.
- Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior.
- American Red Cross Professional Rescue certification within thirty (30) days of date of hire, and bi-annual re-certification.
- Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) within sixty (60) days of date of hire, and annual re-certification.
