Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will provide direct occupational therapy services to students and consultation services to employees and parents throughout the district. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and be able to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including screenings, evaluations, and treatment plans.
  • Consult with teachers and parents to develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Maintain accurate records of students evaluated and served in the occupational therapy program.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and periodic reviews to assess programming and reevaluation decisions.
  • Schedule occupational therapy evaluation and treatment times and locations with teachers and building administration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related area.
  • Licensure from the Minnesota Department of Health in Occupational Therapy.
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force, and/or negligible of force constantly, to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
