Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading manufacturer in water regulation products as an Assistant Controller. The company is committed to innovation and excellence, delivering high-quality products while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budgets and providing variance analysis.
  • Oversee cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and cost analysis to support pricing and profitability decisions.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, conducting regular audits to assess risk and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making, including product profitability, capital expenditures, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax filings and reporting, assisting with external audits and liaising with auditors as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation within the accounting function to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Active CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
