Job Summary

The Financial Operations Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Controller in all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive operational efficiency and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist the Controller with the monthly ERP close process to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the company's financial information.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development and maintenance of the company's budgets and forecasts, ensuring adherence to agreed spending.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and improve internal control systems and procedures throughout all of accounting.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making across the organization.
  • Reconciliations: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Journal Entries: Review, approve, and create journal entries as necessary.
  • Capital Additions and Depreciation: Maintain accurate records of all capital additions and depreciation.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist with the daily processes around accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Annual Audit: Assist with the annual audit with the external auditors.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and CPA required.
  • Experience: Minimum two years' working experience in accounting or finance.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Preferred.
  • GAAP and Financial Reporting: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Chart of Accounts and Accounting Policy: Maintain the company's chart of accounts and accounting policy.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
