Veterinary Technician, Critical Care, Ethos Veterinary Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant to join our Critical Care team in San Francisco. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with our veterinarians and other support staff, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Triage incoming patients and assist with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures
- Partner with the patient care team to develop treatment plans, communicate with clients, and address nursing care concerns
- Provide client education on home care instructions, medications, and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
- Monitor and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including inducing and monitoring general anesthesia and sedation procedures
- Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessary
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
- High school diploma and 1+ years of clinical experience as an RVT or 3 years of experience as a Senior Veterinary Assistant
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP)
