Emergency Veterinary Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage and manage emergency cases, prioritizing patient care and safety
- Monitor and care for critically ill patients, administering treatments and medications as needed
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, including radiology and laboratory work
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing clear and compassionate updates on their pet's condition
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary emergency or critical care setting
- CA RVT license preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
