POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor for Health Services is responsible for providing direction and oversight to the nursing staff across multiple sites. Key responsibilities include recruiting, scheduling, and assessing nursing personnel, while ensuring compliance with healthcare policies and standards. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Senior Director to facilitate the team in achieving optimal health outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and revise nursing and medical protocols
  • Guarantee sufficient nursing staff coverage
  • Oversee medical program operations
  • Manage staff in the care of patients with health concerns
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare policies and regulations
  • Authorize payroll and time-off requests
  • Lead initiatives in alignment with the strategic vision
  • Evaluate nursing documentation and reports
  • Facilitate professional development and mentorship for staff
  • Consult with healthcare professionals regarding patient care
  • Manage nursing schedules and staffing
  • Uphold the Agency's Code of Conduct
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information
  • Occasionally transport clients to healthcare appointments
  • Perform additional duties as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred. Must possess a Registered Nurse license in New York State.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years as a Registered Nurse; ideally 3-5 years in a leadership role within nursing. Experience in nursing care for behavioral health is preferred.

Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, BLS certification, effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, trauma-informed care, relationship building, and problem-solving abilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing/Walking: Predominantly requires standing and walking throughout the shift.

Lifting: Regular lifting of medical supplies and patient-related items up to twenty pounds.

Bending: Ability to bend for patient care tasks.

Travel: Occasional driving for healthcare appointments.
