POSITION OVERVIEW

A proficient Registered Nurse responsible for overseeing and coordinating patient activities within designated areas of responsibility. Collaborates with the Director to identify, strategize, implement, and achieve departmental and unit objectives, focusing on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives. Acts as a mentor and coach to all team members, fostering positive collaborative relationships within a multidisciplinary environment.

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will manage the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology Lab, overseeing approximately 55 full-time equivalents (FTEs). Key focus areas include Recruitment & Retention, service line integration, patient satisfaction, and quality & safety improvements.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Cardiac Cath & Interventional Radiology

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday Days, with flexibility required based on operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  • Current RN licensure in New York.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Unit Oversight. Develop and implement programs and strategies to monitor the quality of patient care and outcomes; promote collaboration with medical and administrative teams to establish operational goals.
  • Staff Leadership. Assess staffing requirements; work with the Director to create and execute recruitment strategies; manage salary and budgetary considerations; engage in the professional development of team members.
  • Leadership Skills. Exhibit the ability to influence and guide others in both internal and external settings to enhance patient care and healthcare services.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Required)

CERTIFICATIONS:
BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium Work - Requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; involves frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

COMPENSATION:
$90,000 - $140,000.00

The stated pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time candidate. It may be adjusted in the future and is eligible for additional compensation components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, and contractual agreements.
