Job Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support our Store Manager in the effective implementation of all store processes. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about retail and want to develop their leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting and staffing activities to ensure a strong team is in place.
  • Support store merchandising by facilitating and participating in staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise.
  • Assist in inventory management, including proper execution of damages, markdowns, and register scanning.
  • Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
  • Provide superior customer service leadership and act as a role model by following company procedures and policies.
  • Participate in store opening and closing activities and ensure the safe deposit of all company funds.
  • Assist in ensuring the financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability and adherence to company security practices.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide a safe environment for customers and employees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • One year of experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and learn cash register functions.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices, as well as cash, facility, and safety control policies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Frequent walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment, occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing, occasional driving/providing own transportation.
